Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting students' social-emotional growth at the elementary level. This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated professional with a strong background in school social work who can provide specialized and tiered support services. Serving a caseload of 15-20 students, you'll have a direct impact by delivering both required services under IEP and 504 plans as well as targeted behavioral and emotional interventions for general education students. This position offers a flexible scheduling arrangement: expect to work 2-3 days per week in alignment with a part-time structure, though strong candidates interested in full-time will also be considered. School hours are 7:30 am - 3:15 pm, with students present from 8:05 am - 2:45 pm. What we're seeking: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Work endorsement (required) Experience supporting elementary-aged children, particularly in school settings Strong understanding of IEP and 504 processes and documentation Familiarity with tiered intervention frameworks (Tier II/III) Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families Ability to manage and adjust caseloads effectively Key responsibilities include: Providing mandated social work services as outlined in students' IEP and 504 plans Delivering Tier II and Tier III behavioral and social-emotional interventions to general education students Documenting services provided and student outcomes Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and support staff to design interventions Participating in meetings and multidisciplinary teams as needed Enjoy a dynamic environment where your expertise shapes students' well-being.
