Essential Functions:
1. Primarily responsible for leading a team to implement campaign tasks, ensuring effective planning, execution, and evaluation. Includes direct involvement in program and campaign planning, logistics, and coordination, including presentations and interactions with students, parents, and community members. 2. Establish and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, providing support and communication. 3. Adhere to substance abuse prevention standards and undergo campaign evaluations as required by funders and partners. 4. Maintain program records, files, and reports according to organizational and funder guidelines. 5. Participate in mandated training sessions and facilitation workshops to enhance campaign delivery. 6. Support middle schools in conducting the Illinois Youth Survey and follow-up procedures. 7. Collaborate with the Prevention Team on various departmental programs and community initiatives. 8. Serve as a backup teacher for relevant educational classes as needed. 9. Foster a positive team environment to promote collaboration and sustainability. 10. Represent the agency at community events and meetings as assigned. 11. Attend and contribute to agency and departmental meetings to ensure alignment and coordination. 12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
Strong organizational and project management skills. Effective interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders. Proficient in written communication for creating campaign materials and reports. Ability to teach Too Good For Drugs curriculum to 6th and 7th graders. Proficiency in computer, design, and technology skills. Updated knowledge of developments in substance abuse prevention and best practices. Familiarity with literature and information sources related to youth and family resilience. Understanding of communication campaign strategies and implementation.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required. Additional qualifications may include training in education, public health, or substance abuse prevention. Experience working with youth in educational settings is beneficial.
Physical Demands and Other Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties listed in the job description satisfactorily. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Capable of operating standard office equipment, including a computer and keyboard, calculator, typical business machines such as a fax machine and copier. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to have valid driver's license, auto insurance and must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle. The work environment characteristics include a noise level which is usually low to moderate.

Maintains professional boundaries with clients/residents, staff, interns, volunteers, and vendors. Able to successfully share skills and concepts with others and works effectively with others under time and environmental pressures.
Safety and Agency Resource Utilization:
Demonstrates sound judgement and foresight in safety awareness and in daily work. Notifies, in a timely manner, the supervisory chain of any incidents or circumstances that need attention. Report all suspicions or allegations of abuse immediately to their supervisor. Ensures appropriate utilization of materials and resources and minimizes waste.
