Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting their emotional and social development in an engaging educational environment. We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to serve at a school in the Normal, IL area, providing critical guidance and assistance to children and families. This contract opportunity allows you to work collaboratively with educators and staff while offering specialized social work services that foster a positive school culture.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a School Social Worker Experience providing social work services in educational settings preferred Solid understanding of child development, behavior interventions, and crisis management Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and school staff Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality Capacity to manage a diverse caseload and multitask effectively
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and group counseling to students with various needs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies that promote academic and emotional success Participate in the development and implementation of IEPs, 504 Plans, and behavioral interventions Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and resources Serve as an advocate for students to ensure equity and access to educational opportunities Facilitate connections with community resources and external agencies Provide crisis intervention and support as necessary This is your chance to have a lasting impact while advancing your career in a supportive school community.
