What You'll Bring:
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement Previous experience working in schools or with children and adolescents is highly valued Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with students, staff, and families Knowledge of social-emotional learning, crisis intervention, and community resources Collaborative spirit and a professional, empathetic approach to problem-solving
Your Role Will Involve:
Conducting assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs Delivering direct services including counseling, interventions, and crisis support Consulting with teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians to design effective support plans Facilitating group sessions and classroom-based activities that build social skills and resilience Making referrals to community agencies and outside resources as needed Keeping thorough documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
