Home Visiting Family Educator with Prenatal - 3 Program Peoria, IL Job Details Full-time From $23.25 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Health insurance Professional development assistance Qualifications Driver's License Working with children Education Driving Social Work Associate's degree Full Job Description Work Day Home-visiting staff are hired to work with children and families 215 days over a 12-month period following a fiscal year that starts July 1st and ends June 30th. Home-visiting staff follow a calendar that is unique to the program Staff are hourly, but their pay is equally distributed over the 12-month fiscal year based on the number of days they are hired to work. Sick and personal time awarded based on days expected to work Duties Attend Parents as Teachers (PAT) Foundational and Model Implementation Training-currently online Provide parent education during home visits and group connections to support families using the PAT Model and Curriculum Competent in effective communication and interpersonal skills including being non-judgmental, objective, reflective, empathic, tactful, and patient Participate in bi-monthly administrative and reflective supervision Complete data entry for home visits within 48 hours Follow all Parents as Teachers and Illinois State Board of Education guidelines for best practice Participate in regular professional development opportunities provided through the ROE and outside opportunities Establish working relationships with families, staff, and the community Maintain appropriate caseloads of families as determined with the Supervisor Qualifications A bachelor's degree in education, social work, health, or psychology is preferred. Candidates with a related associate's degree and experience working with young children and/or parents should also apply. Must have a valid driver's license, own transportation that is used throughout the work day (mileage is reimbursed), and valid car insurance
