POSITION SUMMARY:
The Hospice Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, training, and directing volunteer services for Hospice patients and families. This position recruits and works on retention of volunteers that provide support to our Hospice patients and families by providing respite time, friendly visits, reading, light house chores as example and can also provide support to our team by completing office or non- patient tasks as well. Provides orientation and educational sessions for volunteers. Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associates Degree
  • Previous experience in volunteer services Licensure/Certifications Other skills or knowledge
  • Knowledge of state, federal and JCAHO regulations
  • Computer skills
  • Knowledge of EPIC preferred
  • CPR required prior to patient contact
