Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a positive impact on high school students as a dedicated school social worker in a contract role for the 2026-2027 academic year. This opportunity is designed for individuals passionate about supporting adolescent mental health, fostering social-emotional learning, and collaborating closely with educational teams and community partners. You will be based in a single, welcoming school serving grades 9 through 12, providing critical services to both general education and 504 plan students.
Key Qualifications:
Valid credentials as a school social worker Demonstrated experience supporting high school students Strong background coordinating SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) initiatives Proven ability to participate effectively in multi-disciplinary team meetings, including 504 plan discussions Excellent communication and collaboration skills with school staff and outside agencies Resourcefulness and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
Core Responsibilities:
Address social work needs for high school students covered under 504 plans as well as the broader student population Actively participate in 504 team meetings to support individualized student plans Organize, implement, and coordinate SEL screener processes for all students to promote well-being Engage with community resources and collaborate with outside agencies to connect students with additional supports Foster a positive, supportive environment for students navigating a variety of social and emotional challenges
