Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic role supporting high school students' social-emotional needs for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to make a real difference within a single school building serving 9th-12th grade students. You'll address both 504 and general education student needs, ensuring every individual receives the guidance and advocacy they require for success.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work and active state licensure Prior experience as a school social worker, ideally within high school settings Direct involvement supporting 504 students and developing service plans Background in coordinating Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programs Strong history of collaboration with outside agencies and multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication skills with students, faculty, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and support social work needs for 504 and general education students Participate as an active member of the school's 504 team, attending meetings and contributing strategies Oversee the implementation and coordination of SEL screener data for all high school students Maintain proactive collaboration with local agencies and outside partners to reinforce student support systems This position is scheduled to begin August 2026 and continue through May 2027, offering stable, meaningful engagement in a vibrant high school environment.
