Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract A new opportunity awaits for a dedicated professional who thrives on making a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students. This contract role focuses on supporting young learners by addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs within a dynamic school environment. Working 2-3 days a week, with flexibility for experienced full-time candidates, this position provides the chance to collaborate with educators and families to create positive outcomes.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work endorsement is required Prior experience in a school setting or with elementary-age children is highly valued Strong background in implementing individualized education programs (IEP) and 504 plans Familiarity with Tier II/III behavioral interventions and social-emotional supports Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver social work services outlined in IEP and 504 plans for a caseload of 15-20 students (based on split and final assignments) Implement targeted Tier II/III behavioral and social-emotional interventions for general education students Consult and collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to design and monitor effective support strategies Maintain clear, accurate records and comply with all state and school guidelines Help foster an inclusive, caring school environment for all students This position offers the chance to focus on your passion for helping children thrive, in a schedule that supports work-life balance. With school hours from 7:30 am to 3:15 pm, you'll engage with students from 8:05 am to 2:45 pm, making each interaction count.
