School-Based Social Worker - Winnebago, Illinois ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Winnebago, IL Job Details Full-time | Contract $29.55 - $59.55 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications School experience Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a school-based Social Worker for the upcoming academic term. In this full-time, contract position, you'll be providing vital services during a leave coverage from August 24 through December 17. You'll work across two elementary school sites, focusing on a caseload of students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or eligibility for school social work endorsement. Previous experience working as a social worker in a school setting, preferably at the elementary level. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to support students of diverse backgrounds and varying emotional, behavioral, and social needs. Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and individual education programs (IEP) preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct social-emotional support and interventions to students in grades PK-5. Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and case management for students and families. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive outcomes for students. Develop and implement behavioral and emotional strategies for individual students and groups. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation and review of student goals. Engage in proactive outreach with families to support student well-being. Maintain accurate records and documentation according to school policies and legal requirements.
