months, with possible extension up to 60 months. A Master's in Social Work from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Educion is required. Substitute degrees will not be accepted. Possess a current, unrestricted Ste license to practice clinical social work independently. Must have 24 months of experience in clinical social work assignments. For ANG candides, completion of the Air Force Social Work Internship Program may be substituted for 12 months of the specialized experience requirement. The incumbent of this position description must have, a minimum, a completed Nional Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. This position is designed as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparion for, or in response to, a ste emergency or disaster declarion. Master's Degree:
Social Work. ( Must fulfill all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Educion.)SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Must have 24 months of experience in clinical social work assignments. Completion of the Air Force Social Work Internship Program may be substituted for 12 months of the specialized experience requirement. This experience demonstres particular competencies of knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Knowledge of social work theories, principles, techniques, and resources. Must have specialized experience in professional social work th includes interviewing people to establish the nure and extent of their problems, helping them work-out plans for improving the situion, providing assistance and services, referring them to community resources and other organizions as indiced, and assisting them to understand and modify their own pterns of behavior when approprie. Except as sted above, no other substitution of educion for specialized experience is allowed. In addition, knowledge of social work theories, principles, techniques, and resources is mandory.
