Family Services Manager Job Status:

Director of Operations Position Overview The Family Services Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Habitat for Humanity of Lafayette's mission by building and maintaining meaningful relationships with partner families from the application stage through home closing and beyond. This position will primarily support the Director of Operations in managing family services and partner engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Family Services & Operations Support Family Selection & Support:
Partner with families, guiding them through the application process and managing the pipeline of potential homeowners. Manage and update sweat equity calendars for partner families; track and schedule required volunteer hours for partner families. Coordinate with site supervisors. Send monthly updates to families on sweat equity progress. Keep track of partner family payments made for earnest money and appliances to ensure paid in full before closing. Coordinate monthly Partner Family Breakfast events: Collect RSVPs and plan menu Select presentation topics and prepare PowerPoints (presentations) Coordinate with speakers to ensure presentation readiness Assist with event planning and logistics for wall raisings, house blessings, and other events we attend to promote homeownership. Schedule quarterly reminders for homeowners in regards to maintenance of their home. Cultivate relationships with families while in the program and beyond. Support Director of Operations in the HOME funds process, including: Completing required paperwork Calculating income and mortgage affordability Managing claims and documentation Organize and scan documents related to mortgages, finances, and family records. Prepare the mortgage file for each homeowner.
Communication:
Act as the primary liaison between partner families, staff, and volunteers, ensuring consistent communication during the home building and transition process. Connect partner families with a financial coach. Make sure partner families fulfill all other financial training requirements. Assist in the family application process and document tracking as well as orientation for new families. Submit title searches and permit requests, as needed (coordinate with Construction team). Maintain QLO (Qualified Loan Originator) certification. Assist in mortgage preparation and document signing with the title company. QLO training will take place after being hired. Skills & Qualifications Commitment to Habitat for Humanity's mission, vision, and Christian-based values. Previous experience in nonprofit or human services settings preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset. Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills; public speaking experience is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides). Comfortable initiating phone calls and in-person interactions. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends as needed. Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varied needs. Must be self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to serving others. Pay:
$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
