Job Description

Clubhouse Generalist Position Summary The Generalist is a professional position with Infinity Clubhouse, providing services for adults with mental illnesses in accordance with the Clubhouse International standards. Staff work side by side with members on all tasks necessary for the operation of the clubhouse, including but not limited to administrative tasks, research, enrollment and orientation, accounting, fundraising, and public relations. Essential Duties/Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual performs these duties using advanced knowledge obtained through specialized education and experience. Duties are performed side by side with members. Implementing and ensuring the practice of the Clubhouse philosophy and standards for Clubhouse International accreditation. Planning, coordinating, and executing daily work alongside Clubhouse members. Working collaboratively with Clubhouse members to complete all unit work and tasks and creatively engaging members in the work of the Clubhouse. Organizing, executing, and participating in some evening, weekend, and holiday activities Assisting members in accessing needed community services and supports. Providing outreach to members who have not been attending Clubhouse. Providing support for members in identifying and obtaining educational goals. Actively participating in fundraising efforts for the Clubhouse. Support members in reaching employment goals, including but not limited to working with members to develop resumes, prepare for interviews, and conduct job searches. Manage one or more Transitional Employment placements, which includes maintaining a relationship with the placement employer, learning the job responsibilities for the placement, training Clubhouse members in the job responsibilities, monitoring Clubhouse members in the placement, and providing coverage for the job when Clubhouse members are unavailable. Works with minimal daily and immediate supervision, evaluating possible courses of conduct and making decisions where there is no opportunity to seek supervisory assistance. Maintains member and program records in accordance with applicable standards and regulations, grant requirements, etc. Maintains a high level of ethical conduct regarding confidentiality, dual-relationships, and professional stature Ability to demonstrate competent use of Electronic Medical Record Participates in continuing education activities, remaining knowledgeable in area(s) of expertise Attend meetings as appropriate and meet regularly with supervisor to exchange pertinent information and receive supervision Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications/Requirements High School diploma or equivalent plus 10 years of experience in working with persons with mental illness within the Clubhouse model or other programs operating from a strengths based, consumer centered approach or a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Family/Consumer Sciences, Child Development, Substance Abuse, Mental Health, Human services, Education, Criminology, Counseling, Psychology, Nursing, Special Education, Family Studies, Marriage and Family Therapy, Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Child and Adolescent Welfare or Youth, Adult and Family Services, with a minimum of 1 year of Case Management/Care Management experience (internal or external) Nonspecific Bachelor's degrees with a minimum of 4 yrs. of experience as a Care manager in a directly related child, youth, adolescent or family services field Good interpersonal and communication skills Agreement to use personal transportation in work capacity including transporting members Flexible scheduling required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid driver's license in accordance with HCI motor vehicle policy. Maintain current crisis prevention/intervention certification Maintain current American Red Cross CPR/1st Aid certification
