Grandview Elementary School and Southgate Independent School District Position Title:
Coordinator of Family Resource/Youth Service Centers
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Prior School and Social Work experience preferred. Must display initiative, leadership and organizational skills. Basis computer skills Good written and verbal communications Prior experience in grant writing Reports to: Superintendent's Designee Oversees the daily operation of the Family Resource Center. Keeps an open communication channel between administrators/educators, school boards, and site-based councils providing opportunities to give and receive information related to the operation of the FRC. Provides direct supervision to support staff. Participates in school conferences consulting with and assisting school personnel in developing appropriate intervention. Serves as a liaison between home, school, and existing community agencies making appropriate referrals and coordinating services. Performs home visits and case management for families gaining insight to specific concerns and needs. Assists family in developing an intervention plan that will best meet the needs of both the student and his/her family. Attends all required training and meetings by the state. Keeps complete up-to-date and accurate records as required by law, policy and administrative regulation. Provides community presentations promoting the center and services provided. Required to coordinate services with the Youth Service Center. Works as a team member with the Youth Service Center and all other departments. Performs related duties, as required, in performing assigned responsibilities. Perform various other duties as assigned by supervisor. Applies all school and district policies and procedures.
