Our program serves children ages 2 years through 5th grade in a safe, structured, and Christ-centered environment where children can learn, play, complete homework, build friendships, and end each school day feeling known, valued, and loved. What You'll Do Every afternoon is a little different, but your responsibilities may include: Greeting students after school and helping them transition into the program Supervising children in classrooms, the gym, cafeteria, and on the playground Assisting students with homework Leading games, crafts, STEM activities, and other enrichment opportunities Encouraging teamwork, kindness, and positive friendships Monitoring children's safety and well-being at all times Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment Communicating professionally with coworkers and administration Reporting injuries, behavioral concerns, or emergencies promptly Following Holy Spirit School policies and Kentucky childcare licensing regulations Technology You'll Use Our staff use technology throughout the day to help keep children safe and families informed. Employees should be comfortable learning and using: iPads Student attendance and dismissal software Communication applications Walkie-talkies Other technology required for daily operations No advanced computer skills are required—we're happy to train the right candidate. Qualifications Required:
At least 18 years old (or minimum age required by Kentucky childcare licensing) Ability to pass all required state, federal, and Archdiocese background checks Ability to actively supervise children ages 2 years through 5th grade Ability to lift up to 40 pounds when necessary Ability to stand, walk, bend, and participate in indoor and outdoor activities Willingness to complete required training and professional development
Preferred:
Experience working with children CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Professional Expectations At Holy Spirit School, professionalism is essential to providing children with the highest quality care.
