Overview Join our dedicated team as a Supervised Visitation Specialist and play a vital role in fostering safe, positive interactions between children and their families. In this dynamic position, you will oversee supervised visitations, ensuring that all interactions adhere to legal requirements and promote healthy family relationships. Duties Supervise visits between children and their non-custodial parents or guardians, ensuring safety and adherence to court-ordered guidelines Implement motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive family engagement and communication Conduct crisis intervention when necessary, de-escalating conflicts and managing behavioral health concerns effectively Document visitations accurately, including observations, incidents, and compliance with legal mandates such as mandated reporting laws Collaborate with child protective services, social workers, and family law professionals to support case goals Manage conflict management situations with professionalism, maintaining a neutral stance while ensuring safety for all parties involved Support children with disabilities or special needs during visitations, adapting activities to promote their well-being and participation Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as childcare, education, social work, or behavioral health is highly desirable Knowledge of childhood development principles and family dynamics enhances your ability to support positive visitation experiences Familiarity with child welfare systems, family law procedures, and mandated reporting laws is beneficial Experience in crisis management or crisis intervention techniques demonstrates your ability to respond effectively under pressure Strong conflict management skills enable you to handle sensitive situations with tact and professionalism Working knowledge of social work practices and behavioral health strategies supports effective engagement with families facing complex challenges Join us in creating safe spaces where families can reconnect and rebuild trust.
