English Language Learner Coordinator

Discovery Health Sciences Schools seeks an English Language Learner (ELL) Coordinator to support the multilingual learners program across the charter network. An ideal candidate will have a valid Louisiana teaching certificate with an ESL endorsement. In addition to coordinating ELL services across the network, the ELL Coordinator serves as the direct EL student support at Kenner Discovery High School and Middle School. This position will be responsible for delivering English Language lessons during small group instruction, conducting and collecting the Home Language Surveys, collaborating with teachers and Curriculum Division Heads, providing push-in classroom support, preparing students for the ELPT assessment, Assisting with administration of the ELPT assessment, and completing accommodation paperwork prior to LEAP assessment. Position available August 2026. Workshops and training during this summer will be required. powered by
