Aug 17, 2026 Job Description Director of Early Childhood and Learning Resource Coordinator Saint Columbkille Partnership School Saint Columbkille Partnership School, located in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston, educates students aged 2.9 years through Grade 8. Founded in 1901 by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston, the school has educated generations of local families. Saint Columbkille Partnership School was re-established in 2006 and enjoys a unique partnership with Boston College, as the Laboratory School affiliated with its Lynch School of Education and Human Development, and with the Archdiocese of Boston and Saint Columbkille Parish.

Position Description The Director of Early Childhood and Learning Support Services is a school leader responsible for advancing excellence, inclusion, and mission-centered support for students, families, and educators. This role combines leadership of the school's early childhood program with oversight of learning support services for students with diverse learning needs. The Director ensures compliance with all Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) regulations and requirements and leads the school's ongoing commitment to NAEYC recognition and accreditation standards. The Director also partners closely with teachers and teacher assistants to strengthen instructional practice through coaching, observation, modeling, and professional learning. In addition, the Director coordinates support services for students with identified or suspected learning differences by collaborating with families, faculty, specialists, and local public school districts regarding evaluations, IEPs, accommodations, and student services. Early Childhood Leadership Ensure full compliance with all Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) regulations and requirements. Lead the school's work related to NAEYC recognition and accreditation, including documentation, program improvement, and implementation of best practices. Maintain accurate records and oversee required compliance procedures, policies, and staff trainings. Support the ongoing development and implementation of a nurturing, developmentally appropriate, play-based early childhood program aligned with the mission of the school. Collaborate with school leadership to support enrollment, transitions, and family engagement within the early childhood program. Promote a safe, inclusive, and relationship-centered environment for young children and families. Instructional Coaching and Professional Learning Observe teachers and teacher assistants regularly and provide meaningful feedback focused on professional growth and student outcomes. Support faculty and staff in implementing curriculum, assessment practices, and responsive classroom environments. Design and coordinate professional development opportunities aligned with school goals, accreditation standards, and faculty needs. Foster a culture of reflective practice, collaboration, and continuous improvement among early childhood educators. Learning Support Coordination Coordinate in-school services such as speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, academic support, tutoring, and assistive technology. Facilitate referrals to outside agencies when needed, including local public school districts, and manage the integration of learning plans from external providers. Translate external IEPs or 504 Plans into actionable classroom accommodations, working closely with teachers to support successful implementation. Collaborate with other members of the Student Support Team to integrate academic, social-emotional, and enrichment-based responses to ensure every child receives the resources and supports they need to thrive. Support families throughout the evaluation and referral process, helping them understand available services, supports, and next steps. Maintain confidential student records and documentation related to evaluations, accommodations, and support plans. Qualifications Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, School Psychology, Educational Leadership, or a related discipline preferred. Experience in early childhood education and/or student support services required. Knowledge of EEC licensing requirements and NAEYC accreditation standards preferred. Experience in designing and implementing support plans for diverse learners, including experience with IEPs and 504 accommodations. Strong communication and organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities proactively. Demonstrated understanding of inclusive, differentiated, and developmentally appropriate instructional practices. Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
