The ideal candidate will have experience working with a similar population and possess supervisory experience.

Salary:

$25 The facility is seeking passionate, compassionate, service-oriented individuals to work in a staff secure setting with youth in the Department of Youth Services' care. This position provides a great opportunity to positively influence a youth's life by being a patient and supportive caregiver. The role is multifaceted and includes teaching, limit setting, advocating, coordinating care, and serving as a role model and mentor. Work as part of a dedicated team to make a difference in a youth's life. This entry-level position is a terrific way for those interested in careers in human services or education to develop their skills and gain relevant experience working with youth.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily activities for staff and youth Supervise direct care staff ensuring policies are adhered to and expectations are met Ensure safety and security, including security checks Assist in developing and implementing Individual Service Plans (ISPs) Promote teamwork among staff and youth, fostering a supportive environment Help youth identify goals and interests Cultivate a positive program environment Assign and lead daily group activities Serve as an advocate and role model for youth

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field At least two years experience with the population Valid Massachusetts driver's license Supervisory experience is preferred TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have regarding the positions.
