DV Advocate

Job Summary As a DV Advocate, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals affected by domestic violence. You will provide advocacy, resources, and support to empower survivors and help them navigate the challenges they face. Duties

• Offer crisis intervention services to survivors of domestic violence
• Conduct risk assessments and safety planning with clients
• Provide emotional support and guidance to survivors through their journey
• Assist clients in accessing community resources and services
• Advocate on behalf of clients within legal and social service systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for survivors
• Participate/coordinate outreach events within the local community Requirements
• Knowledge of the local community (North Central MA)
• Degree in Public Health or related field preferred
• Bilingual/Bicultural
• Spanish/English
• Knowledge and/or experience in the field of domestic violence
• Proficiency in conflict management and crisis management techniques
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and empathy
• Competent with computer skills such as: email, Word, Internet, database computer use.
• Familiarity with substance abuse treatment methods and approaches preferred
• Posses valid
