You'll manage attendance records with precision, coordinate enrichment and club activities, support staff development, and demonstrate the sound judgment and discretion needed to keep our program running smoothly while upholding Milton Community Schools' standards and values. While your primary responsibilities are operational, this position includes a leadership component requiring sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to step in and support program operations.

Monday-Friday, 2:30-6:00 PM (11:30 AM-6:00 PM on 2 early dismissal days)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate daily attendance records for all participants and track transitions into and out of the after-school program and enrichment classes to ensure student safety and correct counts.
- Support the site supervisor in organizing daily enrichment and club activities: confirm and secure locations, prepare and restore spaces, coordinate equipment and supplies, and communicate room changes.
- Ensure all club staff are developing and progressing: monitor curriculum completion, provide reminders and resources, and follow up with team members to support lesson planning.
- Set up and close up program spaces each day (clean tables, put away supplies, secure windows/doors, tidy common areas).
- Communicate daily happenings, attendance issues, and logistics updates to the site supervisor in a timely manner.
- Provide on-site support supervising youth and staff; assist the supervisor in maintaining a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for children and staff.
- Engage and support students during program clubs and activities.
- Build positive relationships with program families and school staff; communicate professionally and courteously about attendance and program needs.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, maintain confidentiality, and report concerns promptly.
- Be a reliable team player with a positive, professional, and approachable demeanor; remain energetic and on your feet during shifts, including going outside with participants as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the site supervisor and director.

- Associate degree (Related field: Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Human Services, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, the Arts).
- Have a minimum of three years of demonstrated experience working with children between the ages of 5 years and 11 years in a camp, after-school, and/or classroom setting.
- Preferred experience in working with children from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds, as well as children with special needs.
- Citizenship, residency, or a work visa is required.
- Availability during school vacation (Winter and Spring break) and district-wide Early Dismissal Days.
- All prospective staff will be required to undergo background checks and be fingerprinted.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, walk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to run during play or respond to an emergency. Employees are frequently required to engage with children on the floor and at their eye level. Employees are frequently required to use their hands and arms to handle and manipulate objects as well as reach them. Vision abilities are required for the supervision of children. Salary:
Compensation is competitive and will be determined by experience and education; starting rate $28.57/hour. At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred. Associate degree preferred.
