Job Description

Position Summary Create and support a culture of community engagement and meaningful volunteer service in your school. Essential Functions & Responsibilities The essential functions or responsibilities listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position Collaborate with Principal, educators, counselors and school staff to identify volunteer opportunities in your school, including remote opportunities; Coordinate placement of in-person volunteers for weekly tutoring, enrichment or other supports, including remote tutoring and after school programs; Maintain ongoing communications with the regular, weekly volunteers matched at your school; Using shared spreadsheet, document volunteer data, including remote volunteer tutors; Collaborate with Principal and District Volunteer Coordinator to identify, document and support existing community partner volunteer programs serving in your school; Collaborate with Principal and District Volunteer Coordinator to develop systems for surveying educators for volunteer needs, impact on student learning and sharing best practices for engaging volunteers in your school; Collaborate with school-based Liaison, PTA and District Volunteer Coordinator to promote volunteers and community service at your school through school newsletter, appreciation, volunteer spotlights and other school-based events.

Mobility:
Frequent walking, standing, and navigating stairs.
Lifting/Strength:
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects ranging from 10 to 30 lbs (e.g., books, supplies, equipment).
Physical Dexterity:
Bending, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and reaching to assist students.
Stationary Tasks:
