Multilingual Family Outreach and Engagement Liaison - multiple Westfield Public Schools - 3.1 Westfield, MA Job Details Part-time $36 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications General academic student support Student resource provision Multilingual Student mentoring Family collaboration in education Community resource utilization for student support Student engagement techniques Collaboration with other professionals for student support Working with students English language learner (ELL) student support Parent communication in school administration Working with families Student transition support One-on-one instruction Family communication in school social work Homework assistance Community resource referrals in school social work Entry level Community resource coordination Group tutoring Full Job Description The Multilingual Family Outreach and Engagement Liaison will provide families of English Learners support to enhance student engagement in school, increase language proficiency and achieve academic success. Support includes working with the EL Supervisor to procure resources, communicating with the caretakers and the school staff about students' progress and any needed accommodations, and providing students assistance in meeting course requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Multilingual Family Outreach and Engagement Mentor shall: Connect with the caretaker periodically or as requested by school/district staff to determine any support needed for the familyWork with EL Supervisor to seek community resources as is possibleSupport families to provide stable home environment for students to complete homework and come to school prepared to learnSupport families as they acclimate with their children to schooling, especially those whove had interrupted or no prior schooling.

Communicate with students, families, and school staff to identify barriers that may be preventing learningIn small groups or one-on-one, provide enrichment and assistance to the students to meet school expectationsCommunicate with school staff about family and student progress and needs, as is necessaryPerform any additional duties that may be assigned by the Superintendent or designeeGrant funded
Rate:
$36 per hour up to 100 hours through August 21, 2026.
