COMPENSATION

Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement located on the DY website. All internal applicants who are interested in this position should apply within ten days of this posting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Collaborate with General Education and Special Education teachers, including student support staff, administrators, and parents, to develop intervention plans for students in need of support in collaboration with the building-based BCBA. Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with social, emotional, or behavioral issues. Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for students with mental health concerns. Implement evidence-based practices to support student social and emotional development. Provide crisis intervention and support to students in crisis situations. Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress. Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in counseling, social work, or related field required. Licensed or license-eligible as a school adjustment counselor or social worker in the state of MA. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with students, families and school staff. Knowledge of best practices in counseling and social-emotional learning.
