Job Description

This position coordinates and individualizes adolescent clubhouse (AC) services for youth and families and provides linkages for youth and families to outside services . Employees in this position will assists the Program Director and other team members in developing and operating the AC. Acts as coverage as needed inside AC. Perform marketing and promotional activities to the Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) and other community agencies to increase public awareness about AC. Lead clients/members in group discussion that includes such topics as, substance use, addiction, mental health, and life skills. Participate in community events organized by health departments and other community agencies. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 11 AM to 4 PM in the summer. During the school year, it is 1 PM to 7 PM, with one Saturday, as determined, each month
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience:
None.
Notes:
Candidates may substitute experience providing assistance to individuals in a health care or social services setting on a year-for-year basis for the required education. This classification will be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
Preferred:
Current or prior experience working with children.
