Job Description
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Special Purpose Private School & Day Treatment Program Serving Grades 7-12 | Maine We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and collaborative Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our unique special purpose private school and day treatment program serving students in grades 7-12 with Emotional and Behavioral disabilities. Located in a beautiful farm-based setting in Maine, our program blends therapeutic support, academics, outdoor adventure, hands-on learning, and real-world skill development to help students grow emotionally, socially, and academically. We believe meaningful relationships, experiential learning, and community connection are essential to student success. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician who values innovation, flexibility, and relationship-centered work with adolescents in a nontraditional educational environment. Our Program Features Farm and nature-based therapeutic environment Outdoor adventure and experiential learning opportunities Strong emphasis on community engagement and service learning Hands-on, project-based educational experiences Adult living skills instruction and transition planning Career exploration, vocational development, and workforce readiness Small, highly supportive interdisciplinary teams Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling services Collaborate closely with educators, behavioral staff, administrators, families, and community partners Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary team meetings Support students in developing emotional regulation, coping skills, executive functioning, communication, and healthy relationships Assist with crisis intervention and behavioral support when needed Help integrate therapeutic goals into experiential, outdoor, vocational, and community-based programming Maintain clinical documentation and compliance requirements Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work required Current Maine LCSW licensure required Experience working with adolescents and/or students with emotional and behavioral challenges required Interest in experiential education, outdoor programming, vocational development, or nontraditional learning environments strongly encouraged Strong communication, teamwork, flexibility, and problem-solving skills Trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to supporting youth Knowledge of MaineCare and billing mechanisms What We Offer Supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team Opportunity to work in a dynamic, nontraditional school setting Meaningful relationship-based clinical work Competitive salary and benefits package Professional growth opportunities The chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of adolescents and families
