Job Description

Position Summary The School Board Meeting Media Coordinator is responsible for the preparation, recording, editing, and posting of School Board meetings two+ times per month (weekly during budget season). This position ensures that meetings are professionally recorded, accessible to the public through closed captioning, and posted in a timely manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and send meeting invitations to School Board members and designated technology devices. Ensure all recording equipment, microphones, and related devices are charged, functional, and ready for use prior to each meeting. Set up audio/video recording equipment before meetings. Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and ensure a QR code linking to meeting materials is readily accessible. Record School Board meetings and ensure closed captioning is included. Remain present throughout the entirety of each meeting to monitor recording quality and address any technical issues. Dismantle, organize, and store equipment following each meeting. Edit meeting recordings and prepare them for publication. Post completed meeting recordings within 24 hours of the meeting unless otherwise directed. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with School Board materials and discussions. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience with audio/video recording, editing, and publishing. Working knowledge of video editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, iMovie, Final Cut Pro, or comparable editing platforms. Ability to troubleshoot basic audio, video, and technology issues. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and meet established deadlines. Reliable attendance and ability to work evening meetings twice per month. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience recording public meetings, educational events, or live productions. Familiarity with closed captioning tools and accessibility requirements. Schedule Approximately two School Board meetings per month, held in the evening. Additional time required for setup, breakdown, editing, and posting of recordings. This position plays an important role in ensuring timely communication and public access to School Board proceedings.

$25.00 per hour
