Crisis Worker (MHRT-CSP, Certified Intentional Peer Support Staff) Mindful Journey Counseling 229 Main Street, Waterville, ME 04901 $18.00 - $29.94 an hour - Full-time $18.00 - $29.94 an hour - Full-time Crisis Worker (MHRT-CSP, Peer Support Staff) Mindful Journey Counseling has anticipated openings for our soon to open Waterville/Augusta area mobile crisis services. As an alternative to hospitalization or law enforcement intervention, we provide stabilization, observation, assessment, and short-term intervention in a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive environment - services offered 24/7, 365 days a year, promoting safety, dignity, and recovery
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and assess physical and behavioral health-related risk factors and ensure that clients and families are aware of all community services and resources. Assist families in accessing resources. Provide support through phone contact and face-to-face meetings through home visits and/or community outreach. Assessment will be conducted to determine if client is looking for emotional support (warm line) and does not meet full crisis criteria, or if de-escalation and an in-person encounter is needed Those receiving telephonic support will complete a Crisis plan and/or review an existing crisis plan with client When in-person evaluation is needed, support must be provided within 2 hours from initial encounter. When inpatient hospitalization is not immediately recommended, crisis staff will complete a crisis plan with client. Follow up will occur 24 hours after crisis event and 48 hours after. Maintain regular contact with team members and other community professionals involved with client. Maintain client records and documentation according to agency, billing, regulatory, and licensing standards including assessments and progress notes.
Minimum Requirements:
  • MHRT-CST, Certified Intentional Peer support specialist
  • Valid Maine Drivers License in good standing
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Computer proficiency required Benefits
