Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract School Social Worker - Flint, Michigan Area We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join a supportive district team in the Flint, Michigan area for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work with students across all grade levels while collaborating closely with educators, families, and support staff to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Position Details Full-Time 2026-2027
School Year Caseload:
PreK-12th Grade Itinerant position within the district Responsibilities Provide direct social work services and support to students across grade levels Assist with the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans Conduct evaluations and assessments as needed Attend and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs within the school setting Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines Qualifications Active Michigan School Social Worker Certification required Active Michigan Social Work License required (LLMSW, LMSW, or LCSW) Previous school-based experience preferred Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills Why Join Us?
