Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a pivotal role supporting students across PreK-12th grade as a School Social Worker for the full 26/27 school year. This full-time, contract opportunity offers an enriching, itinerant schedule, giving you the chance to work with diverse student populations and collaborate with multiple school sites. You'll partner closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to assist students in reaching their fullest potential. Engage in meaningful work that includes developing and implementing behavior plans, attending IEP meetings, conducting evaluations, and providing critical support to both students and school teams.
What You'll Bring:
Michigan School Social Worker Certification Active Michigan Social Worker License (LLMSW, LMSW or LCSW) Previous experience working in a school or educational environment is highly valued Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and consult with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Compassion, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to the needs of a diverse student population
Key Responsibilities:
Support the social-emotional growth and well-being of PreK-12th grade students in an itinerant capacity Assist with the design and monitoring of individualized behavior plans Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as a valuable team member Collaborate daily with educators, administrators, and school staff to address student needs Conduct thorough evaluations and provide actionable recommendations for student support Comprehensive compensation for this position ranges from $40/hr to $47/hr.
