This contract position focuses on providing social-emotional support, crisis intervention, and connecting students and families with essential resources to foster a positive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support student welfare. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote a supportive school climate. Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions. Advocate for students and their families by connecting them to community resources. Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies or sensitive situations. Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school policies.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensed Social Worker (LMSW/LCSW) with experience in school social work preferred. Proven ability to work effectively with children, families, and school personnel. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of child development, mental health issues, and community resources. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Familiarity with school systems and education laws advantageous.
