Position Overview:
A district in the Clinton Township, MI area is seeking a School Social Worker to provide comprehensive student support services at the elementary level. This is a full-time, onsite role focused on supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide school-based social work services to elementary students Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff Connect students and families to appropriate school and community resources Maintain ongoing communication with families and multidisciplinary teams Support intervention planning and student success strategies
Requirements:
Master's Degree in Social Work from a state-approved program Temporary or full School Social Work approval from the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) Strong knowledge of school-based social work practices Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience as a School Social Worker in a school setting Experience connecting students and families to internal and external resources
