Up to 40 hours per weekQUALIFICATIONS
Previous work experience with at-risk middle level aged school children. Ability to work with at-risk students and their families. Knowledge of community and county agencies and services available to individuals and families. Experience as a child counselor, psychologist, behavioral specialist preferred. Demonstrate mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of the position. Ability to work with school and county agency professionals. Ability to facilitate meetings with parents, students, teachers, counselors, and agency professionals. Ability to assist students and parents in the pursuit of success. Be open to continuous change. Knowledge of school policy and procedures governing academics, attendance, and behavior. Ability to facilitate student group sessions. Be an excellent communicator with students, parents, and staff.RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and facilitate team meetings for each Success Program Student as necessary. Monitor and document progress of Success Students and meet with students on a weekly basis. Communicate Success Student progress to the home and appropriate school personnel via letters, emails, and telephone calls. Use data tracking system to monitor behavior, achievement, and attendance each week. Make home visits as necessary. Assist families with agency involvement as necessary. Prepare, submit and attend court for truancy cases. Oversee student lunch periods & supervise lunch monitors. Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District. Other duties as assigned.SALARY:
$20.55 - $22.69 per hour, commensurate with experienceDIRECT SUPERVISOR
