$15.00 per hour Support Children. Strengthen Families. Make a Difference. Do you have a passion for helping children and families navigate challenging transitions? Join our team as a Foster Care Case Aide and play a hands-on role in supporting children in the Michigan Foster Care System. In this role, you'll work closely with social workers, foster families, and birth families—providing direct support, ensuring safe and meaningful interactions, and helping children access essential services. Your presence and care will help create stability, safety, and connection for the children we serve. What You'll Do As a Foster Care Case Aide, you'll provide essential support that keeps services running smoothly and children supported every step of the way: Supervise visits and appointments between children, foster parents, and birth families in homes, offices, and community settings Provide transportation for foster children to medical appointments, family visits, and other services Observe interactions and document visits in accordance with agency policies Share observations and updates with assigned social workers to support case planning Assist with gathering important records (court reports, school records, medical information) as needed Maintain knowledge of community resources and help connect families to services Support foster care program operations in alignment with organizational and contractual requirements What You Bring Associate's degree in Human Services or a related field preferred At least 1 year of experience in child welfare or a related service environment preferred Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills Ability to engage with children and families in a professional, compassionate, and respectful manner Organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, people-centered role Additional Requirements Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a good driving record Current automobile insurance in your name Willingness to travel locally on a regular basis Why This Role Matters You'll be a steady, supportive presence in the lives of children and families during critical moments.
