This job changes lives. At Wolverine Human Services, we help children and families move toward safety, stability, and permanency. As a Foster Care Case Manager, your work directly supports children in care and the families who care for them. This role is active and people focused. You'll spend time in the community, not just behind a desk.This role includes:
Managing foster care cases Supporting permanency planning Working with birth parents, foster parents, and relative caregivers Coordinating with DHHS, courts, and community partners Advocating for children's needs Attending required meetings and court-related activities Completing documentation accurately and on time Responding to urgent needs when they arise What You Need to Apply -Minimum Qualifications:
You qualify if you have: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Education, Criminal Justice, or another behavioral or social science field consistent with Michigan DHHS licensing standards Meets Michigan licensing and contractual experience requirements for the position Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries Valid Michigan Driver's License (if required for the role)What Success Looks Like:
Following court orders and agency policies Maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards Acting as a mandated reporter under Michigan law Keeping records secure and up to date Participating in required training and quality assurance activities Being available to respond to urgent needs on a 24-hour basis, as required You won't just have a job.
