Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in students' lives as a Mental Health Specialist supporting general education students in a dynamic school environment near Grand Blanc, MI. In this contract role, you will provide critical social-emotional support and collaborate with faculty to nurture positive learning climates. You'll work directly with individuals and groups, offer expertise in professional learning sessions, and contribute to positive behavior initiatives school-wide.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field with active LARA license (see Michigan LARA for details) Eligible licensure pathways: Licensed master's psychologist, social worker, marriage/family therapist, or professional counselor Limited licensed master's psychologist/social worker/counselor under qualified supervision MDE-credentialed master's school psychologist Licensed bachelor's social worker enrolled/planning to enroll in a master's program within 24 months School Counselor License (SCL), Preliminary School Counselor Credential (PSCC), Temporary School Counselor License (TSCL), or Michigan Teaching Certificate with NT endorsement (with required licensing steps) Experience supporting student social-emotional needs in educational settings preferred
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct social-emotional interventions for students in need, individually or in group settings Support classrooms and school buildings with programs, professional development, and positive behavioral interventions Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to foster an inclusive, nurturing environment Maintain records and contribute to student support teams as needed This is an outstanding opportunity for professionals eager to expand their clinical skills and positively influence the well-being of students.
