Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students in a dynamic educational environment as a contract Social Worker. Located near the beautiful lakeshore of Michigan, this role offers the opportunity to work directly with students, educators, and families to foster positive outcomes and meaningful growth.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program Valid state licensure or eligibility as a school social worker Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Proficiency in building rapport with students and their families Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and evidence-based counseling practices Comfortable with diverse student populations and a range of socioeconomic backgrounds Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group support to students addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to student goals Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive plans Conduct assessments, maintain documentation, and track student progress Offer crisis intervention and contribute to school-wide prevention programs Assist in the coordination of community resources and referrals for families and students Advocate for student well-being and promote a positive school climate
