This role partners closely with the Associate Pastor for Education and Community Life and a dedicated team of adult volunteers to foster students' spiritual growth, encourage a deeper relationship with Christ, and model God's love through words and actions.

Part-time salaried position (average of 20 hours/week) Qualifications High school diploma required; college degree preferred Experience teaching or mentoring youth; comfortable working in a team environment Christ-centered, inclusive, kind, loving, energetic, and passionate about youth ministry Strong interpersonal skills, including developing intergenerational relationships Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Drive Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills Ability to lift/carry items up to 30 lbs. Key responsibilities Memorial Youth programming (under the direction of the Associate Pastor) Partner with the volunteer adult advisor team to plan and support weekly middle school and high school youth group meetings Communicate regularly with adult advisors and help prepare teaching resources With adult volunteers, coordinate or provide weekly meals for youth group With adult volunteers, assist in coordinating Youth Sunday With adult volunteers, plan and lead youth social and service events (on-site and off-site) Assist in honoring graduating seniors Mission trips Assist with planning the annual week-long high school mission trip Coordinate travel, lodging, budget, service activities, small groups, fun activities, and daily devotionals Help lead mission trip training meetings for youth and advisors Support fundraising communications and empower parents to coordinate fundraisers Seeker's Confirmation Assist in the Confirmation program Be present and serve as an advisor at Confirmation meetings and retreats Mentor students as they move through the Confirmation process Sunday Morning Support Assist the Children's Ministry Director with Sunday School and Children's Church Engage with upper elementary students as they prepare to transition into youth ministry Vacation Bible School (VBS) With adult volunteers, lead middle school Counselors-In-Training during annual VBS Coordinate and lead middle school afternoon outings during VBS Communication and administration Support staff and congregational communication in partnership with the Associate Pastor and Director of Communications Collect and organize required forms and documents for youth events Attend CE Council meetings (monthly) Pastoral presence and volunteer support Be present in the lives of active Memorial Youth students and shepherd them in their faith Meet regularly with adult volunteers to encourage, engage, and equip them for ministry to youth Schedule This is a part-time role (approximately 20 hours/week). Hours will include participation in weekly youth programming and occasional special events, retreats, and mission trips.
