Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Social Worker / Psychologist, where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive mental health and behavioral services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across diverse settings, including inpatient, outpatient, school, and telehealth environments. You will provide expert psychological assessments, therapy, crisis intervention, and patient care to individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychological testing, diagnostic evaluations, and behavioral health assessments to identify patient needs accurately. Deliver individual and group psychotherapy utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused approaches for PTSD care, addiction counseling, and working with individuals with autism or disabilities. Provide crisis intervention services to de-escalate urgent situations and ensure patient safety. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with best practices in mental health counseling and social work standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans, discharge planning, and follow-up support. Maintain detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and document all patient interactions thoroughly. Facilitate intake sessions for new patients and manage ongoing patient assessments in outpatient settings. Supervise clinical staff or interns when applicable, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and quality standards. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services remotely. Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work or Psychology from an accredited institution. Valid licensure or certification required by state law for practicing as a licensed social worker or psychologist. Proven experience in clinical counseling across diverse populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, school-aged children. Strong expertise in child & family counseling, behavioral health interventions, trauma-informed care (including PTSD), and addiction counseling. Experience with psychological testing, diagnostic evaluation, intake procedures, and patient assessment tools. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical records management to ensure confidentiality and compliance. Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention strategies and managing emergency situations effectively. Prior experience supervising staff or interns is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds in both face-to-face and telehealth settings.
