Senior Social Worker Duties and Responsibilities:

Local travel required to support the social work department across multiple facilities in the metro Detroit area Demonstrates knowledge of age specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents (i.e. physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in planning social services programs Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to plan social services programs for residents with the following needs: therapeutic, neurological and dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, and infectious diseases if applicable Promptly follows-up on admission inquiries, evaluates and assesses the needs of prospective residents to determine appropriateness of facility placement

Senior Social Worker Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 3 years skilled nursing experience required LBSW or LMSW required Strong computer proficiency required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new software systems
