Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position serving as a vital School Social Worker, supporting students across PreK-12th grade. This full-time, itinerant role allows you to make a real impact while working within a collaborative educational environment near Houghton Lake, MI. Bring your passion for student wellness and your expertise in social work to a dynamic team that values your skills and supports your professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect social work services to students in PreK-12th grade Support diverse caseloads, traveling between sites as needed Attend IEP meetings to advocate for student needs and provide progress updates Collaborate with educational staff, families, and community partners to enhance student support systems Develop and implement interventions and support plans to promote student well-being
Qualifications:
Valid Michigan School Social Worker certification Active Michigan Social Worker license Previous experience working with school-aged children is strongly desired Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment In addition to making a significant difference in students' lives, eligible candidates will have the opportunity to receive compensation ranging from $45/hr to $55/hr, dependent on experience and qualifications.
