This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for passionate professionals ready to bring support, advocacy, and guidance to multiple schools near Prudenville, MI. As an itinerant School Social Worker, you'll play a vital role in supporting students' academic, behavioral, and social well-being while collaborating with staff, families, and community partners.
What You'll Need:
Active Michigan School Social Worker certification Current Michigan Social Worker license Previous experience working with PreK-12th grade students preferred Familiarity with providing both direct and indirect services in a school setting Skilled in case management and supporting IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes Strong communication and collaboration abilities Flexible, resourceful, and comfortable traveling between schools
Your Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect social work services to students across a variety of grade levels (PreK-12) Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as a valuable team member Assess student needs and collaborate on intervention plans Support and advocate for families and students, ensuring access to appropriate resources Employ proactive strategies to enhance school climate and student outcomes This contract position offers a competitive compensation, with pay ranging from $45/hr to $55/hr, plus the possibility for eligible candidates to receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
