Join Samaritas in this role to play a critical role in helping families heal, reconnect, and move forward. In this meaningful role, you will supervise and coach family visits for children in foster care, helping parents strengthen their skills, rebuild trust, and work toward reunification—all while ensuring the safety and well-being of each child. What You'll Do Educate and coach parents on effective parenting skills through observation, modeling, and real-time feedback Supervise parent-child visits in homes, offices, or community settings Ensure the safety of children and intervene when necessary Observe and document interactions, noting strengths and areas for growth Collaborate with caseworkers and provide regular updates on family progress Help parents identify visitation goals and reinforce positive development Conduct pre- and post-assessments using AAPI and NSCS tools Provide transportation for children and families as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field (required) At least one year of experience working with families facing complex challenges Strong knowledge of child development Experience in school, daycare, or family support settings preferred Familiarity with the Nurturing Parent Program, AAPI, or NSCS is a plus Additional Requirements Valid driver's license with a good driving record Reliable, insured vehicle for local travel Ability to work flexible or nontraditional hours About Samaritas Samaritas is a Michigan-based human services organization dedicated to empowering individuals, strengthening families, and building vibrant communities.
