Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract We are partnering with a school district who is seeking a compassionate, student-focused School Social Worker to support the academic, emotional, behavioral, and social success of students across our schools. The ideal candidate is collaborative, proactive, and committed to building strong relationships with students, families, staff, and community partners. Position Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling services to students Support students experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, and family-related challenges Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school psychologists, and outside agencies Participate in IEP, 504, MTSS, and student support meetings Conduct social developmental histories and assessments as needed Assist with crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and attendance support Connect families with community resources and outside services Promote positive school climate and student wellness initiatives Qualifications Valid Michigan School Social Worker approval/certification Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) required LMSW preferred but not required Experience working with children and adolescents preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in K-12 educational settings Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and behavioral interventions Familiarity with special education processes and student support systems Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on education and experience Comprehensive benefits package Michigan public school retirement benefits School calendar schedule with holidays and breaks Supportive and collaborative team environment Application Process Interested candidates should submit: Resume Cover letter Copy of certification/license Professional references Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
