Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract A full-time Social Worker position is available for professionals skilled in supporting elementary school students. This role is based onsite in Rochester, MI, providing direct social work services to an elementary caseload within a school setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for candidates passionate about making a difference in the lives of young students and working collaboratively with educators and families. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, providing counseling, crisis intervention, and case management to support the social and emotional well-being of students. The Social Worker will collaborate with teachers, parents, and community resources to develop individualized plans that address academic and behavioral challenges. Maintaining accurate records and participating in team meetings to discuss student progress are also essential duties.
Desired qualifications and experience:
Professional experience as a Social Worker in a school environment, preferably working with elementary-aged children Strong understanding of child development and social-emotional learning Ability to conduct individual and group counseling sessions Skilled in crisis intervention and conflict resolution Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff Knowledge of community resources and referral processes Licensure or certification as a Social Worker as required by the state Located in Rochester, MI, this role requires working onsite to provide hands-on support within the school community.
