Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Seeking experienced social workers to support students at both elementary and secondary levels for the upcoming school year in Rockford, MI. These contract positions focus on providing essential social services within school settings, addressing the diverse needs of students to promote their well-being and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students social, emotional, and behavioral needs Develop and implement individualized support plans Collaborate with educators, parents, and outside agencies to coordinate resources and interventions Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students as needed Facilitate group sessions and support initiatives to enhance student resilience and coping skills Maintain accurate records and comply with school district policies and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications:
Degree in Social Work (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited institution Valid social work licensure or certification as required by the state Prior experience working with children and adolescents in school or community settings preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, families, and community partners Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to student welfare and special education
