Non-Exempt Summary of Position Hourly, Part-Time positions serving youth and families throughout Roscommon County are available. Applicants must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings. Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families. All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wraparound model. This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, mileage reimbursement, and activity reimbursement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families. Provide services to youth and families in community, school, and home settings. Serve as a positive role model for youth and families. Utilize a strength-based approach and wraparound service model. Coordinate services and activities that support participant and family goals. Maintain communication with participants, families, schools, and community resources. Complete required documentation and service records. Qualifications and Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources. Experience working with at-risk youth and families. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in basic computer skills. Reliable transportation required. Valid driver's license required. Current automobile insurance required. Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus. Flexible; non-traditional hours that may include evenings and weekends.
