Job Details:
Must have a minimum of a master's degree in social work, Psychology or Counseling and possess the corresponding State of Michigan licensure.•[
REQUIRED
] Candidates must obtain the Qualified Mental Health Professional credential within 120 days of hire. Must have one year of experience (may include time spent in fieldwork or internship) treating or working with people who have been diagnosed with mental illness.•[
REQUIRED
] Must be able to work independently. Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Must have excellent organizational and attention to detail skills in order to track and prepare data accurately and timely. Must have the ability interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Individual programs may have additional requirements.
Additional requirements include:
cultural competency, ability to work effectively with a diverse population, the ability to engage and maintain therapeutic relationships with youth and families in a variety of modes of treatment, the ability to develop collaborative relationships with other unit staff and providers, effective communication skills, and a willingness to be flexible. . License•LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC or LLP.
Travel:
Mileage Reimbursement when personal vehicle used•IRS standard. (.70 per mile) Responsibilities Primary responsibility is to participate in the delivery of clinical services, including intake evaluations, and direct treatment for adults and families. Assess and document the needs of clients who present themselves for outpatient mental health and/or co-occurring substance abuse services utilizing Person-Centered Planning principals. Provide individual and group therapy. Work collaboratively with others in relation to the client and family including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, school personnel and other family service or support people. Must meet all of the contractual requirements of the funding sources and/or agency, including maintaining State licensure. Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings and case consultations. Complete clinical records and agency documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and procedures of the Guidance Center. CA02
