Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Ready to make a difference in students' lives across K-12 settings? Experienced school social workers are needed for a dynamic contract opportunity supporting a Special Education District near Warren, MI. This position offers a blend of extended school year (ESY) and regular school year (NSY) assignments, providing valuable continuity for students and the chance to work closely with a diverse population.
Assignment Details:
Extended School Year (ESY): June 30, 2026 - August 6, 2026, up to 25 hours per week Regular School Year (NSY): August 17, 2026 - June 11, 2027, up to 35 hours per week Applicants must be available for both the ESY and NSY sessions Primarily supporting K-12 students in special education
Qualifications:
Active Michigan school social worker certificate (310) is required—please provide a copy with your application Certification status can be verified via the Michigan Department of Education's public credential search If not certified, supervision must be arranged prior to interviews Familiarity with K-12 educational settings and special education preferred Commitment to on-site work is essential
Responsibilities:
