Full-Time | 36 Hours/Week | School Year Position Make a Difference in the Lives of Children & Families Semcac Head Start is seeking a compassionate and organized Family Service Advocate (FSA) to support children and families through education, advocacy, and community connections. This position plays a key role in helping families access resources, reach goals, and actively engage in their child's early learning experience. Responsibilities Build positive relationships with children and families Support recruitment and enrollment efforts Assist families with goal setting and Family Partnership Agreements Connect families with community resources and services Participate in home visits, parent meetings, and conferences Support classroom routines and child development activities Organize Parent Committee activities and encourage parent leadership Maintain confidentiality and provide culturally respectful support Collaborate with teachers, staff, and community partners Qualifications Experience working with children, birth to age 5 preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic computer skills CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain Willingness to complete Family Services Credential within 18 months (training provided) Benefits Meaningful work supporting families and communities Professional development opportunities Supportive team environment School-year schedule
Pay:
$18.80 - $20.68 per hour
